Faculty of Management and Quality Science Students Pass IPMA Certificate Exam

Project management is now one of the key competencies valued in the job market, both in business, administration, and the public sector. That’s why the GMU Faculty of Management and Quality Sciences not only educates students in the field but also provides them with the opportunity to validate their acquired skills through the international IPMA certification from the International Project Management Association.

This was also made possible by the accreditation gained by GMU on 28 February 2024, when HM The Rector of GMU, Professor Adam Weintrit, signed an agreement with IPMA Polska, the organisation representing global project management standards. The IPMA program allows universities to confirm that their curricula align with the international IPMA 4-L-C competence model, which is used in recruitment, employee development, and the assessment of an organisation’s project maturity.

Thanks to this collaboration, students and graduates of the Faculty of Management and Quality Sciences can take official certification exams. The first such exams took place on 16 June and 15 July 2025 and were a complete success, with eight students successfully obtaining the IPMA certificate, confirming their competencies in project management. The exam fees were subsidised using funds awarded by the Dean of the Faculty of Management and Quality Science, Dr Marzenna Popek.

A great deal of effort in preparing the students for the exams was made by Dr Joanna Kizielewicz, Head of the Department of Management and Economics, who, as the Faculty’s IPMA Coordinator, organised dedicated exam preparation sessions. Thanks to her dedication, students were not only equipped with the appropriate knowledge to pass the exams but also gained a highly regarded project management qualification.

We wish you all further success and many ambitious projects not only at GMU but also in your project management careers.

Congratulations!
