140th Anniversary of Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy
Gdynia Maritime University Rector Professor Adam Weintrit and Director of the Ship Management Office Doctor Bogumił Łączyński attended the 140th anniversary of the Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy in Varna, Bulgaria on the 6-10th of September at the invitation of Rector Flotilla Admiral Professor Boyan Mednikarov.
During a speech for the occasion in which Professor Weintrit congratulated the Academy on a wonderful anniversary and wished it further success, he also drew attention to the cooperation between the two education institutions as part of the International Association of Maritime Universities and the TransNav International Conference on Marine Navigation and Safety of Sea Transportation held biannually in Gdynia and organised by the GMU Faculty of Navigation together with The Nautical Institute.
