On Friday 1st October 2021, GMU Rector Professor Adam Weintrit and Deputy Rector for Student Affairs Professor Mirosław Czechowski took part in a Holy Mass inaugurating the new academic year in Pomerania. The ceremony was also attended by GMU students with the University banner.

Rectors, professors, lecturers, doctoral candidates and students of Pomeranian universities participated in the mass. The homily was delivered by Bishop of Pelplin, Ryszard Kasyna.
