Qualitative assessment

Results of the qualitative assessment of the scientific activity of the faculties of Gdynia Maritime University as assessed in 2022 for the years 2017-2021

The assessment is carried out based on detailed criteria as outlined in the appropriate Minister for Science and Higher Education Regulation:

  • First criterion – the qualitative level of scientific activity assessed based on published scientific papers and monographs, and invention patents awarded.
  • Second criterion - the financial impact of scientific research and development based on the amount of funding raised for research projects within the framework of competitions organised by EU institutions, and foreign institutions, the NCBR, the NCN and the NPRH. The criterion also takes into account the results of the commercialisation of research or development projects, as well as the scientific work carried out on behalf of entities outside the higher education and science sector.
  • Third criterion - the impact of scientific activity on society and the economy measured based on a description of the impact of each entity's scientific activity on the economy, on health, culture and art, the protection of the natural environment, the state security and defence, or other factors affecting the civilisational development of society.
