S/Y Nest
This is Gdynia Maritime University's flagship yacht, used to conduct training and maritime internships primarily in the Baltic, North and Norwegian Seas, but also occasionally in other regions such as the Atlantic Ocean. Sailing under the Gdynia Maritime University flag, the yacht has visited three Spanish ports in the Mediterranean, Iceland, and northern Norway, crossing the Arctic Circle three times.
NEST is a highly durable yacht capable of sailing in all weather conditions. As it was built as a training vessel, it does not have the typical cabins found on modern tourist yachts. The only cabin is a double bow cabin. There is also a three-person forecastle with single berths in the bow section and an aft forecastle with a captain's berth and a double berth in the stern section. The yacht also has one bathroom with a shower. Nest can be crewed by up to eight people.

Built in 2000, the yacht was purchased by the University in 2011 and thoroughly modernised and refitted. Following this, the yacht was given a new name – NEST – which was chosen in a competition open to students and staff. This name commemorates the first Polish sail training ship, the Lwów, which previously bore the same name. The yacht's godmother was a student of the Faculty of Navigation, Małgorzata Galej.
