Tricity GIS DAY 2023 | Gdynia Maritime University

TriCity GIS Day 2023 was held at Gdynia Maritime University on 15 November. The event was organised by the LoGIStic Student Scientific Circle of the Department of Transport at the Faculty of Navigation. "GIS Day" is an international educational event aimed at popularising knowledge and the practical application of geographical information systems (GIS). In addition to attending lectures, guests were also presented with posters on the GMU Permanent Orienteering Courses, including maps of the area in a variety of visualizations and 3D models. A presentation on the project was put together by Piotr Kopacz and Marcin Sontowski, and a 3D printout of the map of the "Chylonia" area was hand-painted by Asia Rogowska.

The presentation on the GMU Permanent Orienteering Courses project can be viewed in the main hall of the main Univerisity building (near the Rector's Office) until December 2023.
