Degree description

The Maritime Business and Management master’s programme builds on your undergraduate knowledge, combining advanced business education with a strong maritime focus. The curriculum covers key areas of management and economics — including strategic management, innovation management and modern marketing — alongside selected humanities courses that strengthen leadership, communication and analytical skills essential for future managers.

You’ll also take specialist courses in maritime business, such as maritime economics, business project management in the maritime sector, and the financing of maritime enterprises. The programme further explores crucial topics shaping the modern maritime economy, including maritime spatial planning and development, maritime resource management and renewable energy in the marine environment.

Graduates gain a competitive education that prepares them for managerial and leadership roles in the transport, forwarding and logistics (TSL) sector, the offshore and shipbuilding industries, and other maritime-related fields. The programme also provides excellent foundations for those looking to start and develop their own business within these sectors.

Our master’s studies help you grow as a confident manager and leader in the maritime economy. Graduates are highly sought after by companies operating in ship ownership and management, finance and insurance, ship brokerage, transport and logistics, marine equipment supply, shipbuilding and repair, as well as engineering and contracting in the maritime and offshore industries.
