Michał Downar-Zapolski

I began my education at Gdynia Maritime University in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, from which I graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering degree. I am a long-standing member of the Faculty Scholarship Committee and have won scholarships and Rector’s awards for outstanding academic performance.
Studying Marine Electro-Automation didn’t mean I had to give up the possibility of working on land. The wide range of subjects taught gave me knowledge and skills that easily qualified me to do a work placement at the Institute of Energy. With the help of many committed lecturers, I decided to try my hand in academia. After a short time, I attended my first scientific conference.
After completing my bachelor’s degree, I opted to continue studying for a master’s degree in order to broaden my knowledge and skills.
Looking back, my choice of University was one of the best decisions I’ve made.
