A new edition of the ‘Pomerania Talent’ (Zdolni z Pomorza) initiative, offering support to students in the development of their talents, has officially begun at Gdynia Maritime University.
On 25 October 2024, an agreement was concluded for funding of the project entitled ‘Pomerania Talent – Gdynia Maritime University’, as part of EU funding for Pomerania during the period 2021-2027.
The project, part of the Strategic Project carried out throughout the Pomeranian region by 26 local government units and higher education institutions, was financed by the European Social Fund Plus (EFS+) as part of Measure 5.8. General and professional education (in support of students in the development of their skills) of the European Funds for Pomerania 2021-2027 Programme (FEP 2021-2027).
The principal aim of the project is to provide pupils with specific talents or needs, or those facing barriers of a socio-economic or territorial nature, with adequate support for their development.
As part of the project, 124 talented school pupils from primary school classes 7 and 8 will be able to make use of support in the form of:
- academic events,
- online training,
- mentoring
