How to Apply (Step by Step)

1. Register in the IRK Online Application System
Create your account in the Online Admissions System during the admissions period.

2. Complete your application form:

a. Fill in the application form in the IRK Online Application System.

i. In the Personal Data section, complete the tabs: Basic personal details; Address and contact information; Photo; Education; Additional personal information

ii. In the Education section, enter the details of the documents required during the admissions process:

A. Secondary school leaving certificate / Matura certificate: type of document, year obtained, document number, date of issue, issuing institution, place of issue, and country of issue. Once you receive your certificate, enter your grades (only those taken into account in the admissions process). After entering the data and reopening the document for editing, you will be able to attach a file. Be sure to upload a photo or scan of the certificate.

B. Details of any Olympiad achievements.

C. Certificates and other documents, especially certificates confirming foreign language proficiency.

b. In the Programmes section, select the field of study, pathway/specialisation, and study mode you wish to apply for.

c. In My Account / Applications, you will find all selected study programmes. If any programme has been selected by mistake, withdraw the application.

d. Pay the application fee of 85 PLN to the bank account indicated in the IRK Online Application System. The fee is charged separately for each field of study and each study mode you apply for. Before making the payment, consider your choice carefully, as the fee is non-refundable. The bank account number and the amount due can be found in the Payments section. The transfer title should follow this format:
Surname / Faculty name / Programme code given in IRK Online Application System / admissions year

 – Candidates required to take the mathematics entrance examination must ensure that the application fee reaches the University’s account by the separate deadline announced for such candidates. This applies to foreign applicants applying on the basis of a document issued abroad which does not confirm eligibility to apply for admission to higher education studies under Polish law.*

– All other candidates must ensure that the application fee reaches the University’s account by the announced deadline.

e. If you make fewer payments than the number of study programmes you selected, remember to set your payment priorities for your applications in the Payments section. The priority determines to which programme the payment will be assigned. Only complete applications, including those with the required fee paid, will be considered in the admissions process.

3. If you are required to take the mathematics entrance examination, take the examination on the announced date.

4. The results of the mathematics entrance examination will be shown in the IRK Online Application System on the announced date.

5. Upload a digital photo to the IRK Online Application System.
Please make sure it meets the required specifications.

6. Upload the required electronic documents to the IRK Online Application System by the announced deadline:

a. Bachelor’s degree applicants must upload an electronic copy of their secondary school leaving certificate / Matura certificate.

b. Applicants for the Navigation programme at the Faculty of Navigation must also upload an electronic copy of their Seafarer’s Medical Certificate.

7. Check your status in the IRK Online Application System on the announced date. If your status is Qualified, submit the original documents in accordance with the requirements of the relevant Faculty Admissions Committee:

a. by post or courier — the date of delivery, not the postmark date, is decisive;
b. in person.
For programmes taught in English, documents should be submitted to Room B-105A (entrance through B-106, Morska Street campus).

8. Submission of the original documents is a necessary condition for admission.

9. The final results of the admissions process will be shown in the IRK Online Application System on the announced date.

* This does not apply to applicants who hold: a diploma issued in an EU, OECD or EFTA country, an IB diploma, an EB diploma, a Polish Matura certificate, or a diploma covered by international agreements, including Ukraine and China, unless the diploma does not include a pass grade in mathematics.
