Database Lab

The Database Laboratory focuses on methods for storing, processing, and analysing data in information systems. Students explore both relational and non-relational database technologies, learning how data is modelled, indexed, and mined to support efficient and reliable information management. They gain hands-on experience with SQL, database programming, database administration, and relational database normalisation. Our modules include ‘Introduction to Databases’, ‘Databases’, and ‘Advanced Database Technologies.’ Teaching takes place in a dedicated Linux-based environment using a high-performance virtual server and virtual machines created by students themselves.
