Research areas at the Department of Marine Electronics include: modelling, analysis and measurement of electronic components and systems with consideration of thermal phenomena occurring within them; modelling and analysis of the electrical properties of power supply systems and semiconductor light sources; methods for measuring thermal parameters of electronic components and systems; investigation of the properties of microwave components and systems and the application of laser technology; analysis of the properties of photovoltaic cells, panels and installations; hydrogen production and electrolyser modelling; investigation of the impact of solder void distribution on the thermal parameters of semiconductor components.
