Offshore Wind Energy

The newest addition to the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering’s educational offer, this master's degree programme responds directly to the rapid growth of the offshore wind energy sector. It provides students with cutting-edge, practice-oriented knowledge of the design, operation, and management of modern wind power installations.

The programme is a natural continuation of the Wind Farm Operations Management bachelor's degree programme offered at Gdynia Maritime University, but it is also open to graduates of other engineering disciplines. Its innovative curriculum allows students to choose one of four pathways:

  • Nautical – installation and operation of offshore energy facilities
  • Operational – operation and diagnostics of offshore fleet units
  • Digital Integration – implementation of digital transformation principles within the Maritime 4.0 framework
  • Management – strategic management of offshore wind farm projects

Designed in line with the latest industry standards, the programme equips graduates with advanced engineering and managerial competencies covering all phases of the onshore and offshore wind farm life cycle – from planning and design to operation and decommissioning.

The master's degree programme in Offshore Wind Energy is currently taught in Polish only.
