Student Accomodation
Gdynia Maritime University offers comfortable and secure accommodation at three Student Residences, providing over 850 places for students. This number is set to grow with the planned construction of a new dormitory on the main campus.
Student Residence 2 enjoys a prime seaside location near Gdynia’s popular promenade and central beach – just a short walk from the city centre and the Faculty of Navigation, and a quick bus ride from the University’s main campus. Student Residences 3 and 4 are located on Morska Street, close to the main campus, making them ideal for students of the University’s other faculties. From here, residents can enjoy beautiful views of the city, port, and sea.
Each residence offers convenience, comfort, and community:
- Excellent location close to public transport, the train station, city centre, and beach
- Surrounded by green areas, shops, cafés
- 24/7 security, monitored buildings, and full fire protection systems
- All utilities (electricity, heating, water) included in the rent
- Professionally cleaned common areas
- Fully furnished 2- and 3-person rooms with private bathrooms or 2-room suites for five or seven with shared bathrooms
- Each room equipped with a fridge
- Public kitchens on every floor, elevators, study rooms, laundry and drying rooms
- Facilities adapted for people with disabilities
Part of Student Residence 2 also operates as a hostel, offering spacious, well-equipped rooms and a 50-seat conference hall for guests.
GMU continually upgrades and renovates its student accommodation to ensure a high standard of comfort.
