The choice to study on this particular course came from my interest in geography and my desire to see the world.
During my five years on the Navigation programme I not only discovered many fascinating places, but, most importantly, I grew ready to continue my professional career at sea.
My time at the university and on training voyages on its ships was not just about adventure and friendships, but also a real school of life. To this day, I remember sleepless nights, funny stories, and situations that demanded courage and quick, decisive action.
After more than twenty years at sea, having gained the highest professional qualifications and served as Captain, in 2020 I decided on a radical change and took a shore-based job in the offshore wind energy sector.
For the first few years, my work focused mainly on the development of offshore wind farms.
However, at the beginning of this year I was given the chance and the honour to gain experience also during the construction of the first offshore wind farm in history in the Polish Baltic.
Looking back, I can say with absolute confidence that everything I have achieved in my professional life so far would not have been possible without completing such a renowned course as Navigation.
