Sea Training Placements on Polish Merchant Fleet Ships

Procedure for obtaining an agreement for a Sea Training Placement with one of the shipping companies from the Polish merchant fleet (WUŻ, SAR, Żegluga Gdańska):

1. Students must first apply to the Dean’s Office for a referral and submit it to the Ship Management and Sea Training Department.
2. The Department’s staff draw up an agreement (minimum of 1 working day).
3. Students must present accident insurance valid for the length of their training and their Seafarer’s Book in order for an entry to be made.
4. Procedure for students carrying out Sea Training on the training ships Dar Młodzieży and Horyzont II.
5. Students must collect two copies of their agreement.
6. Before beginning Sea Training, students must return the contract signed by a competent representative of the shipping company (CEO, manager, supervisor, or person responsible for sea training)
