30TH FINALE OF WOŚP A GRAND SUCCESS
Gdynia Maritime University once again played its part in the grand finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. Proceeds donated as part of the 30th edition of the event will be used for the purchase of specialist medical equipment used to treat eye disorders and diseases in children.
This year’s finale began at 10:00am at the University’s Faculty of Navigation. Visitors had the opportunity to visit the Faculty’s navigation bridge simulator and attend a show of “cosmic” proportions in the Planetarium. Safety and organisation was ensured by the students of the GMU Guard of Honour. The Faculty also hosted a shop selling run by the charity’s local team selling WOŚP merchandise. Despite the difficult weather, attendance at the finale was high. University mascot Sea Dog Maciek gladly posed for pictures and collected donations from passers-by in Kościuszki Square.
