Eligibility Requirements for Master's Programmes

To be eligible for admission to a second-cycle (master’s) degree program in Poland, your bachelor’s degree must grant you access to master's-level programmes in the country where it was issued.

Under the Polish Law on Higher Education and Science, a degree issued by an accredited international institution automatically grants the same academic rights in Poland, provided it permits further study in its home system (subject to specific provisions of international bilateral agreements).

To verify your diploma and prepare your application, please follow these steps:

Step 1: Verify Your Qualification Online

Before applying, check the status of your degree using KWALIFIKATOR, the official digital database managed by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA).

  • What to do: Search for your country and specific degree type to verify if it qualifies you for master's-level study in Poland.
  • Download your statement: If your degree is listed, the system will allow you to generate an official NAWA Recognition Statement as a PDF. Please download this document, as you may be required to upload it during the recruitment process.
  • Access the tool: NAWA KWALIFIKATOR Database

Step 2: For Diplomas Not Listed in the Database

If your specific degree type or issuing country is not currently covered by the KWALIFIKATOR database, you will need to obtain an individual evaluation.

  1. A certificate confirming minimum B2 level proficiency in English.

  2. Two colour photographs on a light background, signed with the candidate’s surname, first name and passport/national ID/PESEL number, and one photograph submitted electronically.

The electronic photograph must be submitted in JPG format, in colour, on a light background, without head covering or dark glasses. It should be at least 300 × 375 pixels, which allows it to be printed at 2 cm × 2.5 cm in appropriate quality. The maximum file size is 1 MB. The electronic photograph must be identical to the paper photograph submitted to the University together with the remaining documents.

  1. The original proof of payment of the application fee. If the programme does not run, the fee will be refunded in full upon the candidate’s request.
