Autoterminal Khalifa Port" is looking for "ASSISTANT MARINE SUPERVISOR" with experience in vessel RoRo cargo operations.
Autoterminal Khalifa Port is a joint venture between Autoterminal Barcelona and Abu Dhabi Ports. Located in Abu Dhabi, UAE, Autoterminal Khalifa Port is a dedicated car terminal providing unparalleled service in the Middle East to the main players in vehicle logistics.
As an Assistant Marine Supervisor, Port and Cargo, you will have responsibility for planning and directing all activities related to the loading/discharge of RORO vessels at Khalifa Port (Abu Dhabi).
Responsibilities:
- A team player who can solicit and share knowledge and competence in a constructive manner.
- Focus on efficient processes and continuous operational improvement.
- Ensure subcontractors operate according to our requirements.
- Facilitate and maintain positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Able to follow company procedures relating to reporting and distribution of information before, during and after vessel operations.
- Be physically able to work in a ship's cargo area and port terminal around hazardous equipment.
- Assist and engage in all vessel husbandry activity.
- Ensure the safety of all employees in accordance with our HSE program.
General:
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all aspects of vessel and terminal operations.
- Stevedore experience and/or management.
- Technical knowledge related to vessel specifications.
- Maritime/College degree preferred.
- Team player with strong decision-making and analytical skills.
- Focus on leadership and use of talent to improve the way we work and produce value.
- Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel.
Qualifications & Other Requirements:
- Technical proficiency and expertise in operations.
- Problem solving skills.
- English communications skills, written and verbal.
- Ability to handle pressure, and tight deadlines.
- Thorough understanding of logistic principles and practices.
- Energetic and highly motivated.
- Proactive, with the ability to think globally.
- Bachelor’s degree: Marine Engineer, Nautical Engineer, Naval Engineer, Marine Technology or similar
- Valid Driver’s License
