Admissions Procedure
THE ADMISSION'S PROCESS FOR 1ST-CYCLE (BACHELOR'S) AND 2ND-CYCLE (MASTER'S) DEGREES at Gdynia Maritime University in 2024/2025 is described on the University's home page
A list of documents required to apply for a University place can be found under "Required documents".
- Register on the Online Applications System. Registration opens on 06/05/2024 and closes on 15/07/2024.
- Fill in your personal data.
- Choose your field of study, specialisation, and mode of study.
- An application admin fee of PLN 85 should be made to the bank account indicated by the IRK Online Application System (Include in the payment title: Surname/Faculty Abbreviation (WM) /Degree code from IRK Online Application System/2024 ). The admin fee is payable for each individual degree or mode of study for which you are applying.
- Upload an electronic version of a passport/ID sized photograph to the Online Application System.
- Upload electronic copies of documents to the Online Application System between 06/05/2024 and 15/07/2024.
- Attach a copy of your secondary school leaving certificate (applicants for 1st-cycle degree programmes). The system will allow you to upload two documents. You can combine more than one scan in a single PDF if required.
- Upload a copy of your certificate or 1st-cycle (bachelor's degree) certificate to the Online Application System (applicants for 2nd-cycle studies)
- Upload an original diploma/degree certificate supplement (2nd-cycle candidates).
- Upload a copy of an additional certificate or documents, such as language proficiency certificates (list of certified language certificates).
- 15/07/2024 - deadline for submission of applications and upload of electronic documents to the Online Application System (e.g., photo, certificates).
- 16/07/2024 - deadline for the payment of the application fee.
- 17/07/2024 - initial result status is shown on candidates' applications - status: qualified, reserve list, not qualified.
- Qualified candidates should bring the following original documents to the Faculty of Marine Engineering Admissions (rooms A-202 and A-204) from 18 to 24 July 2024 (between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00):
- A signed application form printed from the Online Application System;
- A signed application for student accommodation printed from the Online Application System (when student accommodation is required);
- Proof of payment of the application fee;
- An original secondary school leavers certificate, or a copy certified by the University. Candidates shall be required to show original certificates for inspection when submitting their documents. When sending documents by courier, please send the originals in addition to any copies;
- Candidates for the Faculty of Marine Engineering must provide a medical certificate issued by a doctor of labour medicine, which entitles them to study (including taking part in training at sea) (1st-cycle candidates)
- An original or certified copy of an undergraduate degree certificate/diploma, including a supplement (2nd-cycle candidates).
- The list of candidates to be admitted will be published on 26.07.2024. Change of status: admitted, candidate resigned, not admitted, degree will not run.

Original documents must be shown before an offer of a place on a course can be made. During the additional recruitment period, candidates will be admitted according to a ranking list. The date of application will be taken as the date on which the candidate submits all required documents to the Faculty of Marine Engineering Admissions.

The results of the admissions process will be announced in the IRK electronic admissions system.

- Bring to room A-202 or A-204
- By post or courier (you can specify the date of delivery of the documents);
