DIGITAL TWIN DEVELOPERS FOR MARITIME SERVICES

SUMMER INTERNSHIP

We are currently looking for a summer trainee for Digital Twin Team - Maritime Services in the field of azimuth thruster research and development for predictive maintenance application.
In this role, you are responsible for emerging technology development with significant growth opportunities. The role will be based in Kongsberg Maritime - Product Service Center, Gdynia.

As a trainee in Kongsberg Maritime AS, Gdynia you would be part of the digital twin development team and support the development of our digital services. Kongsberg is positioned to become the market leader on predictive maintenance solutions for azimuthing thrusters and wants to strengthen its development team with up to 2 summer interns. The tasks that you would be working on are multifaceted and require a proactive and systematic working approach, basic mechanical engineering skills and solid programming skills. You will be placed in a multinational team, requiring a communicative and open attitude and solid English skills.

 Responsibilities:

• Help the existing programming team with planning and executing programming objectives.
• Convert the requirements of project plans into proficient code.
• Analyze requirements to identify optimal execution strategies.
• Assist senior programmers in their work duties.
• Maintain a positive, teachable attitude throughout the internship.

Must have:

• Solid skills in Python.
• Basic skills in Mechanical Engineering.
• Good knowledge of English allowing for day-to-day communication.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of version-control tools (git, GitHub).
• Interest in physics- and data-based digital twin technologies.
