Józef Lisowski
Biography:
Józef Lisowski is currently a full professor in the Department of Ship Automation at Faculty of Marine Electrical Engineering of Gdynia Maritime University, Poland. He received his PhD and DSc degrees from the Electrical Engineering Faculty of the Technical University of Gdansk and professor title in Gdynia Maritime University. For thirteen years he was the President of Gdynia Maritime University. He lectures on the Basics of Automation, Optimization Methods and Game Theory for students of specialization in Electro-automation, Navigation as well as Transport and Logistics. His research interests include the control theory applications in marine science for the synthesis of optimal, adaptive, game ship control systems. Professor Lisowski is the author of 300 papers, 12 books, 4 patents and supervisor of 11 doctorates. Józef Lisowski is Senior Member of the IEEE, Member of the Polish Society for Measurement, Automatic Control and Robotics.
Interests:
Synthesis of computer-aided programs for safe ship control using static and dynamic optimization methods as well as artificial intelligence and game theory.
